Bping is an alternative ping tool for Windows that literally beeps when it receives a reply.
You can use it as an Internet connection tester, it can keep pinging in the background while you work. It can also scan an entire network and tell you at a glance what IP addresses are available and which are taken.
It is pronounced "beeping", as it beeps when it receives replies. The default sound is from Space Invaders, or you can specify a wav file to play, or use the system speaker. By default it beeps when it gets a response, but it can also beep only when it doesn't.
