Hide Computer is a free command line tool that can hide or unhide your computer on the Network. The tool is available for free from SecurityXploded.com.
Your computer will not be visible in the "Network Neighborhood" or to other Browsing tools. However, if another user knows the address of your computer on the network, they can still find it.
Once changes are made, it requires a reboot to take effect.
