VirusTotal Uploader is a free tool from VirusTotal to submit a currently active process, file or URL for virus analysis. The tool basically reveals results of well-known antivirus systems on the item in question.
After installing it, you can simply drag and drop files and apps into it in order to get them scanned with over 50 antivirus solutions.
The different ways of scanning a file are:
- Simply drag an drop files on the application to scan them.
- Select in the 'File' menu which files to scan.
- Right click, or control-click on a file, click "Open With", then select the VirusTotal uploader app
