TrueCrypt creates a virtual encrypted disk and mounts it as a real disk.

With TrueCrypt you can create an encrypted volume within a file or you can encrypt an entire hard disk partition or device (for example USB-memory). TrueCrypt volume cannot be identified from random data in file or hard disk partition. TrueCrypt supports following encryption algorithms: AES-256, Blowfish (448-bit key), CAST5, Serpent, Triple DES, and Twofish.
