Asterisks Password Viewer can be used to unmask passwords that are covered by asterisks in Windows.

In programs like Mail and FTP clients, it is common for login passwords to be stored. However, when you look at the settings usually the password is covered with asterisks for security reasons, looking something like: ***********

With this tool you just have to click inside the field when you have the "key" cursor and it will show the recovered password in the app window.
