dErase v2.1

dErase is a tool that can erase directories or entire partitions securely in Windows.

It supports secure deletion by overwriting contents, so that no files can be recovered. One secure pass is the equivalent of seven consecutive overwrites.

dErase.exe will temporarily install itself as a Windows service in order to run under the local system account, which has the ability to bypass file system ownership/permissions restrictions.
