This freeware removal tool from Symantec will remove infections of Backdoor.Tidserv from a Windows computer.
You will need full administrative access on your user account to run this tool successfully on Windows XP or Windows Vista. If running Windows XP, it is recommended to disable System Restore before running this tool.
It will delete any infected files after it closes infected processes, and will clean anything left by Backdoor.Tidserv in the registry.
