The removal tool terminates the W32.Sasser processes, deletes associated files and deletes associated registry values. You need administrative rights to run this tool on Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
It is recommended that you disable System Restore if running this tool on Windows XP, and that after you run the tool and reboot once, you run it again to ensure the Windows installation is clean.
