Windows Phone Internals can unlock the bootloader of selected Lumia Windows Phone models.
This can enable root access on a Lumia phone, and allow the flashing of custom ROMs to the device. Apps can escape from the sandbox so the phone can run homebrew software that you download or develop yourself.
The tool supports most versions of Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile. For a complete list of supported phones and Operating Systems have a look at the Getting Started section of the tool.
