APUSB 47 is a tool that can restore autorun functionality to USB drives in Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Microsoft disabled autorun for USB drives in Windows 7 and then in Windows 8, but left it enabled for removable CD/DVD media. This tool can make autorunning from USB keys possible again in these operating systems.
It sits in the background and waits for a USB drive to be plugged in and can detect an autorun and prompt the user.
