DeviceIOView from NirSoft is a freeware utility that lets you watch the communications between software, or services, and device drivers.
The application monitors DeviceIoControl calls in the operating system, and displays information about them, such as Handle, Control Code, number of input bytes, number of output bytes, the name of the device handle, and all the input/output bytes, displayed as Hex dump.
NOTE: If you want to be able to use DeviceIOView on Windows Vista or Windows 7 and avoid any privilege problems, make sure to run the application as an Administrator.
