Rimhill can reduce the noise made by your CD/DVD drive by setting a maximum read speed.
It will sit in the system tray in Windows, and all you need to do is right-click on the icon and you can set the maximum speed to 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x or 32x.
This can be very useful if you have a particularly noisy disc drive.
