Vovsoft - Prevent Disk Sleep can prevent a primary, secondary or external hard drive from doing to 'sleep' in Windows.
You simple select the drive by its assigned drive letter in Windows, and choose an interval for it to write to the disk.
It creates a plaintext file on the drive that it periodically modifies in order to prevent the OS from determining that the drive is inactive.
The developer has made the tool available as freeware.
