RegScanner from NirSoft is a freeware utility that lets you search for information in the Windows registry.

It is, kind of, an alternative to the built-in RegEdit client. With RegScanner you can search for any information in the Registry, and export it to a .reg file if you wish.

You can also jump to RegEdit by double-clicking a result.

RegScanner has some advantages over RegEdit, such as the ability to search for a string located inside a binary value or making a case sensitive search.

NOTE:Remember to run RegScanner as Administrator in Windows Vista or Windows 7. This is the 32-bit version of NirSoft RegScanner, get the 64-bit version here.
